7:10 AM We took the first train to Brussels; the journey took 45 minutes.

8:00 AM Arriving in Brussels, we got off the train and walked a short distance to the European Parliament. We had to scan our ID cards to get a small tag to attach to our t-shirts, then we went through security with our bags. A member of the European Parliament staff gave us a short presentation about the European Union and its institutions. We also played a game where we had to guess the languages spoken by some of the people in Parliament. Afterwards, we were able to go inside the Parliament and take photos.

10:30 AM We left the Parliament and went to the Museum of the History of the European Union. We were given tablets that translated and explained the content and history of each room and object in the language we needed.
